About Jignasa

JIGNASA 2018 is blossoming on the Central college cricket ground, Bengaluru with all its grandeur! This time, based on the requests from Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani and Siddha (AYUSH) student community across India and students and supporters from other parts of the world, we have decided to organize an International Conference on “Conglomeration of Health Traditions in Bharatavarsha” and “International Arogya Fair 2018” as part of JIGNASA 2018 organized by Tarunya Shikshana Seva Trust and supported by Akhil Bharathiya Vidyarthi Parishad at Central college cricket ground, Bengaluru from 5th - 9th December 2018.
 

Tarunya Shikshana Seva Trust (TSST) initiated ‘JIGNASA’, A common platform to address everything related to AYUSH systems particularly AYUSH education in the country. From 2011 onwards, ‘JIGNASA’ is organizing various programmes for the students of AYUSH from this standpoint. JIGNASA is our humble effort to enlighten and encourage the students of AYUSH to look into our great Shastra's in particular. TSST had organized workshops and seminars related to “Restructuring Ayurveda Education” in many colleges in Karnataka with an aim to revamp and restructure Ayurveda education system and frame an ideal policy for Ayurveda education in the country. To take this dialogue process forward, TSST organized JIGNASA DARSHAN 2017 – National Seminar and Brainstorming on reforms in Ayurveda Education and Training on 21st - 22nd September 2017 at Bengaluru with an aim to develop a comprehensive report/vision document for submitting to the Government of India for formulating policies for quality Ayurveda education in the country. The National Seminar and Brainstorming was a huge success with over 250 delegates including Chancellors, Vice-chancellors, Principals, Professors, Students, Researchers, Policy makers, Ayurveda practitioners, intellectuals and representatives from the Ayurveda Industry participating in the function. We intend to take this initiative forward in a big way with the participation of the people from all over India and abroad by conducting JIGNASA 2018.

 

JIGNASA 2018 will have series of Seminars & Workshops conducted on various topics related to AYUSH in every college possible across India and culminate with a weeklong ‘International AROGYA Fair 2018 and a three day International Conference on ‘Conglomeration of Health Traditions in Bharatavarsha’ at Bengaluru, Karnataka scheduled from 5th - 9th December 2018 for the medical students and researchers from across the world to explore and experience the diversity of health and healing traditions in entire Bharatavarsha.

 

There will also be a Conclave of Ayurveda Vaidyas on 9th December 2018. The Focal theme of the conference will be “Medical Education & Renaissance of Health Traditions in Bharatavarsha”.
 

Apart from this, Speciality clinics, Satsang, Student exchange programmes, Gurukulam, AYUSH alumni meet, Acharya vandanam, AYUSH intellectual conclaves, Authentic Yoga, Kalaripayattu, Friends of AYUSH and many more unique events will be part of this mega event. The technical papers/posters in the conference and exhibition stalls in the event will be evaluated by experts in the field and the best will be rewarded. More than 4000 delegates are expected to participate in this conference along with masters of excellence and experts in the field of traditional medicine from India and abroad. We will be privileged and honoured with your invaluable presence and participation in this extraordinary confluence, the one and only of its kind in the whole world happening for the first time in Bharata.
